getting started

What to do first?

"How do i get started? i've never done pilates before! "

No Problem. The easiest way to get started is to do a private session with one of our instructors, during this session you'll gain an understanding of what pilates is, how it will benefit you and have a chance to discuss what you are looking to achieve. We've made this even easier by taking $31 off the price of your introductory Private Pilates Session.

If you already have a good understanding of the pilates principles and like group classes, use our online scheduler to sign up for classes or check out how we do pricing here.

What to wear and bring?

Wear comfortable clothing and socks. You do not need shoes during your session.
Women: Spandex shorts, Capri's, or pants, fitted t-shirts, and workout tank tops
Men: T-Shirts, workout shorts (long or short - some choose to wear bike shorts underneath), or comfy pants

Note: Instructors look for abdominal initiation as well as hand and ankle placement. It's helpful when you wear close-fitting clothing that does not have long sleeves or long pants covering wrists and ankles.

It is suggested to bring water and a health bar or snack if you will not have the opportunity to refuel the body after your session elsewhere.

What to expect?

Sessions and/or classes are 55-minutes unless otherwise noted. They are offered at the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced level and depend who is attending class. Pilates can be a workout, so be prepared to sweat! Equipment and approach taken by your instructor will vary depending on what your trying to accomplish, again this will be further explained and determined during your initial session.
