Golf Specific Training with Reforming Indy

To understand how Pilates can help with golf we must first understand the mechanics of the golf swing.

The motion of the swing is a kinetic chain made up of many muscles throughout the body working together to produce the rotation, power and precision required for an effective swing.

Almost all movement in the swing is a paired action of agonist and antagonist, this means that any tightness , weakness , imbalance or poor neuromuscular control results in a less than effective swing and subsequently leads to underperformance. This very commonly also leads to soft tissue discomfort, pain and injury.

So, how can Pilates help?
